Lots of folks ask how I pack so much flavor into my sauces
(sometimes using as few as three ingredients: the chili peppers, water, and sea salt…)

The process begins with this little greenhouse…
and lots of tiny seeds.
“Seed to Sauce”: the story of Linneweber’s Sauce Co.
When the Spring sunlight raises the ground temperature enough, small chili plants are transferred into some of the most fertile, nutritive soils in the American Heartland.
Growing the chilis has been a team effort
since the very beginning. Two close friends of mine and their families have given me the support I needed to turn a hobby into a commercial business.
My name is Chris Linneweber.
As a welder/fabricator by trade, I know the quality of the end product will be determined by the amount of effort and attention to detail that is placed in that product every step of the way.
This is why my sauces are naturally fermented and pepper-forward. My chilis are grown in Knox County, Indiana, and not watered down like many other sauces.

The chilis are typically placed into fermentation within a few hours of being harvested.
This process is done in my family’s commercial kitchen. Linneweber’s Sauce Co. creates small, craft-batch mild and hot sauces with unique fruit and vegetable combinations you’ve got to try.
Sauces range from mild to wild, and all contain the complex flavors gained from the natural fermentation process.
That’s why I enjoy taking my sauces to farmer’s markets and artisan craft fairs. I get to see my customers taste the different flavors firsthand and hear their reactions. This ground-level interaction helps me understand exactly what my customers are looking for, and keeps me on track to deliver the highest quality products I know they’ll love.
So while my recipe book is pretty simple and straightforward, it takes a small army of friends, as well as a lot of hard work and passion, to turn a seed into sauce.
My name is Chris Linneweber, and my goal is to create unique, high-quality, and farm-fresh food products that you’ll want to share with your friends and family.
